  Having read its prequel a while ago I was excited to read this gorgeous book and had it on my TBR since then. After reading so many recently published or about to be published books, I finally decided to read this book. 

At the beginning of this book, we are fast-forwarded twelve years from the end of The Henna Artist. We are introduced to the lifestyle of Shimla where we meet Lakshmi again who is now married.

The title of this book is apt as everyone connected with the royal family of Jaipur has some big secret hidden within the depths of their heart which must not come out in the open.

I specifically liked the level of loyalty of Lakshmi to her friends and of Malik to Lakshmi in this book as well as in its prequel 

As this book is the sequel, most of the characters are already known to the readers and there are only a few characters we have to familiarize ourselves with.

This book mainly gave the readers a much-needed insight into the life of Malik as his character was hardly explored in The Henna Artist and the readers were anxious to finally get to know the ever-loyal Malik a little more deeply.

  This book is for every person who loved The Henna Artist and could relate to its characters and enjoyed the picturesque background of Jaipur.
