Nepotism in Bollywood
- As the years pass by, and we move into the new era of entertainment with so many options for entertainment, the popularity of the movies backed by big production houses and acted by actors who have the grace of being born in the houses of mega movie stars despite having no knowledge and skill of the craft of acting whatsoever is declining. In today's time, it doesn't matter if you don't have any connections in the glamour industry but if you are well equipped with your craft and willing to suffer the extra amount of hardships that you are destined to suffer due to lack of your familiarity and connections with the big production houses, then you will slowly and steadily but definitely climb to the top of Bollywood with big production houses requesting you for your time to act in their movies. If we analyse the current scenario of Bollywood we will find that several actors like Ayushman Khurana, Rajkumar Rao, Nawazuddin Siddiqui,Vicky Kaushal are all self-made actors whose body of work like Padmaavat, Masaan, Stree and international web series like Sacred Games etc. are now being acclaimed worldwide. These are the actors who came from humble beginnings and struggled day and night to be at the top of their game and were not provided anything in a plate like Tiger Shroff, Sara Ali Khan and many others. Due to the large amount of options for entertainment available nowadays, people prefer watching good content in their leisure time rather than watching anything just for the sake of it. So the era in which people became popular actors just because of their fate of being born in the movie industry is gone for good. Today only the people who spend a lot of time polishing their craft and learning the techniques of good acting can maintain their position in the glamour industry and follow their passion. In the 21'st century, content is truly the king.
